TX Young Republican State Convention

The 2013 Annual Texas Young Republican State Convention will be held in Austin, TX, August 9-11. This annual convention gathers young Republican professionals from around the state to hear some great speakers, make new political connections, and meet other young activists from around the state. At the convention, we will elect new statewide officers for TYRF, pass resolutions, consider changes to the state federation’s constitution, and federate new local clubs.

The Young Republican National Convention will be in Mobile, AL, this summer! Join 300+ Young Republicans from around the country and go as an official delegate from the Texas Young Republicans. We will elect national officers, pass resolutions, discuss the future direction of the Republican Party, and more, all while having a great time on the local sunny beaches and evening special events. This event is open to all Young Republicans and Texas has open delegate slots available for any Young Republican who is a member of a local club!

Official Call: 1st Quarter TYRF Board Meeting

This is Official Notice that the 1st Quarter Board Meeting of the Texas Young Republican Federation will be held on Sunday, March 3, in Austin, TX, in room E2.1002 of the Texas State Capitol, from 1 pm to 4 pm.   This is a legislative committee room in the underground annex of the Texas State Capitol.  This board meeting will be held in conjunction with Young Republican Legislative Day – please see this event for the full list of events and activities.  All attendees of the board meeting are encouraged to stay for the Young Republican Legislative Day.

All Clubs are required to present a report at this meeting summarizing your activities since the last board meeting. The report can be as short or as long as you like, and can be given in person at the meeting, or emailed prior to the meeting to Secretary Smith, at secretary@texasyoungrepublicans.com All club presidents, the TYRF State Officers, and certain appointed positions, have votes at this board meeting. Any person who would have two votes at this meeting by virtue of being both a club president and a TYRF officer, must delegate their club’s vote to another member of their club by notifying Kristen Smith of their appointee prior to the meeting, in order to preserve you club’s vote.

Young Republican Legislative Day

Saturday, February 2nd, 2013

Take a day off and come join other Young Republicans from around Texas on Monday, March 4th, as we meet with our elected representatives in Austin to ask them to pass laws that reflect the priorities of a younger generation of Republicans. We will reveal the results of our state survey on policy issues and arrange for you to meet with your elected officials. Stay tuned for hotel arrangements and final schedule.

TYRF to Host YRNF Spring Board Meeting

The Texas Young Republican Federation is excited to host the Spring Board Meeting of the Young Republican National Federation.  The national board meeting will take place in San Antonio, TX, from April 26 – 28.  Over 100 young Republican activists, leaders, and politicians from around the nation will gather in San Antonio to conduct the business of the YRNF, discuss the future direction of the Republican party, and prepare for the National YR Convention this summer.  We’ve set up a subdomain just for this meeting at www.yrnf.texasyoungrepublicans.com
